Lemosho Route, 7 Days
ITINERARY DESCRIPTION
The Lemosho Route is often regarded as the most beautiful of all the Kilimanjaro walking pathways.
It is one of the newer ways on the mountain, and it shares a portion of the same trail as the Machame route, but it has a few benefits over that route that make it worthwhile to consider, especially for tourists with additional time.
The Lemosho Route begins at the Londorossi Gate on Mount Kilimanjaro’s western slopes and winds its way up one of the mountain’s most isolated regions.
Hikers will travel through a lovely rain forest, with the possibility of seeing animals along the route. Blue monkeys, tiny lizards, and a variety of birds, as well as black and white colobus monkeys, are common sights in the woodlands. The trail then heads out into the Shira Plateau, crossing it from west to east over reasonably level and easy terrain.
