ITINERARY DESCRIPTION
11-day period A Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Kilimanjaro safari takes place in Tanzania and includes visits to Lake Manyara National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro.
During your safari to Lake Manyara national park, Serengeti national park, Tarangire national park, and the Ngorongoro crater, you will go on morning and afternoon game drives.
During your safari, you will also participate in a hiking experience on Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu route, which is Africa’s highest mountain. On the mountain, you will hike for 5 days.
You will return to Arusha after your wildlife safari and hiking experience on Mount Kilimanjaro, bringing your safari to a close.

Itinerary by Day
Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park
Your hotel in Arusha will be picked up and you will be welcomed for your safari. A short briefing will be given to you as you prepare for a safari in Lake Manyara National Park. You will go on a game drive around the national park in search of lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, antelopes, waterbucks, and impalas, among other wildlife species. Tree climbing lions can also be found in the national park.
You’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after your game drive.
Day 2; visit Ngorongoro crater
Your guide will pick you up from your lodge after breakfast and drive you to Ngorongoro crater, where you will descend 600 meters into the crater in search of various wildlife species.
During your game drive around the Ngorongoro crater, you will look for wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos. Flamingos can also be seen along the shores of Lake Magadi. After this adventure, your guide will return you to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3; drive to Serengeti national park
As you prepare for your drive to Serengeti National Park, you will have breakfast at your lodge. Check into your lodge and eat lunch before heading out on a game drive through the national park in search of elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, antelopes, zebras, and wildebeests, among other animals.
Following your game drive, you will have dinner and spend the night at the Lodge / Camp.
Day 4; full day Serengeti national park
You will go on a morning game drive around Serengeti national park after waking up early at your lodge, looking for elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, waterbucks, impalas, wildebeests, and zebras, among other animals. During your Tanzania safari, you will have lunch after your morning game drive.
You’ll also go on an afternoon game drive to search for various wildlife species while exploring the vast savannah plains. After the game drive, your guide will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Lodge / Camps.
Day 5; drive to Tarangire national park
You will have breakfast at your lodge before driving to Tarangire National Park, where you will go on a game drive in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, and impalas, among other wildlife species.
During your safari in Tarangire National Park, you will also have the opportunity to see baobab trees before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6; transfer to Arusha
Breakfast will be served at your lodge prior to a transfer to Arusha, where you will spend the night and relax at the Tulia boutique hotel and spa, where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 7; drive to Moshi and hike from Marangu to Mandara Hut
Before your drive to Kilimanjaro National Park, breakfast will be served at your hotel in Arusha. From Marangu gate to Mandara hut, you will begin your hike up Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day 8; Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
After breakfast, you will start your hike from Mandara hut passing through rain forest and moorland through Maundi crater to the rim where you can have clear view of Kibo Crater and also enjoy views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. You will hike to Horombo hut where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 9; Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
You will hike from Horombo hut through the Alpine desert vegetation and continue to Kibo hut which lies on the saddle area. You will spend the rest of the day at Kibo hut as you prepare for the summit attempt to Uhuru peak the next day.
Day 10; Kibo hut to summit to Horombo Hut
You can start your hike from Kibo hut and hike to the summit as early as midnight. To reach the summit, hike to Gillman’s point near the crater. After reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro, you will be treated to breathtaking views (5895 meters). You will begin your descent from Mount Kilimanjaro after taking photos and admiring the views from the summit.
You’ll descend from Mount Kilimanjaro’s summit and continue to Horombo Hut, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 11: Horombo Hut to Marangu gate to Arusha
Early morning breakfast will be followed by a descent from Horombo hut to Marangu gate. You will be driven back to Arusha by your guide, who will drop you off at your hotel in Arusha, bringing the safari to a close.
