8-day Tanzania wildlife and Zanzibar safari is a tour that begins in Tanzania’s northern regions, including Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Serengeti National Park, where you will participate in game drives.
You’ll also fly to Zanzibar for a vacation and to relax on the island’s white sand beaches.

Itinerary by Day
Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Arusha and welcome you to Tanzania for your safari. You will receive a briefing before beginning your journey to Lake Manyara National Park.
During a game drive around Lake Manyara national park, you will look for various wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, tree climbing lions, and hippos, among others. You will be driven to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after the game drive.
Day 2; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area
After breakfast at your lodge on the second day of your 8-day Tanzania wildlife and Zanzibar safari, your guide will pick you up and drive you to the Ngorongoro conservation area. You’ll go on a tour of the Ngorongoro crater, looking for wildlife like lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos, among other things.
You will also enjoy a tour of the Ol duvai gorge as part of your tour of the Ngorongoro conservation area, as well as other attractions such as flamingos. After the game drive, you will be driven to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3; Ngorongoro to Serengeti national park
Your day will begin with breakfast served at your lodge before checking out and being driven to Serengeti National Park by your guide. You’ll go on a game drive around the savannah plains and explore the central part of the national park.
During your tour of Serengeti National Park, you will look for wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos, as well as the big five. You’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after the game drive.
Day 4; morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti
After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will go on a morning game drive around Serengeti National Park in search of animals such as wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, dik diks, impalas, kudu, hartebeests, waterbucks, hippos, lions, leopards, and cheetahs, among others.
You will have lunch and go on an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay on this full day game drive experience in Serengeti National Park.
Day 5; flight from Seronera to Zanzibar
After breakfast and checking out of your Serengeti national park lodge on the 5th day of your 8-day Tanzania wildlife and Zanzibar safari, your guide will drive you to Seronera airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar island. You will be picked up and driven to your hotel in Zanzibar upon arrival for check-in and to relax in the comfort of your hotel, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 6 and Day 7; Zanzibar beach experience
After breakfast at your hotel, you can relax on the beach in Zanzibar. You can also participate in various activities on the island, such as swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, diving, and visiting Stone Town, before returning to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8; departure
Breakfast will be served at your lodge prior to your transfer to the airport for your flight out of Zanzibar, bringing the tour to a close.
